VASSAR OAD BAPTIST CHURCH

Poughkeepsie, New York

This was a brand new baby Southern Baptist Church. Bob & Wanda were members number 49 & 50. 

At the time the church was meeting in a two-storied house on the property.  The small brick structure was eventually built.  Bob was responsible for the decorating and furnishing committee.  Wanda taught second grade Sunday School and played piano for worship services. Gary Lee Sibley was born while Bob & Wanda were members here.

It was at Vassar Road that Bob became an ordained deacon on March 15, 1964.
