JUNIOR
Gary Sibley & his college roommate, Bill Olson, first adopted Junior. Students who lived in apartments all had dogs, so Gary & Bill had to have one too. This ugly little creature was the one. She had been there about two weeks when management decreed “NO DOGS”.
Gary brought this ugly dog home. I did not want her; we already had Benson and Mandy. I did not want a third dog. I made Gary keep her in the shower stall of his bathroom.
Susan had had our first dog, Spot, in Kingsville when she left school. Spot had just died, so Gary was sure she would want this ugly little dog. She did not.
So this ugly little dog came back to Houston with the promise that the apartment the next fall would allow dogs. - -NOT so.
We permanently had a third dog. Bob named this creature “Junior”. Junior was one smart cookie. She knew she had to impress Wanda if her life was to be bearable. She loved ME, Wanda. She showed me in so many ways how much she loved ME. This little creature suddenly became beautiful. She was a mutt, but no mutt ever loved a human like she did.
Junior is buried in the Doggiterey at Holly Cove.
